Opening Ceremony of Performing Arts Society

The SCM Performing Arts Club was launched on 22 January 2013 with a dance presentation by the founding members, led by its chairperson, Yong Chiew Lin, from the BAIB programme. An external trainer, Ms Joelyn, trains them regularly. The club stages regular practices, mainly in the style of hip-hop and jazz funk which are designed to cater to the needs of both amateur and skilled groups. There will be regular training to be held once a week, for each group to develop and polish their dancing skills. The club also arranges Open Practice Activity for participants to enjoy popular dance steps like Psy’s “Gangnam style”, and other dance styles such as belly dance, Chinese folk dance, Malay dance, Indian dance and Ballroom dance. Additionally, diverse performances and parties will be held regularly for communication, skill improvement and entertainment.

The performances were energetic and lively
